I crossed right in front of one while out on a walk. It pulled out after I crossed. Looks awesome, sounds bad. I like all kinds of exhaust notes but I guess the Eco V6 is not one of them.

Agreed. I’ve seen a few in the wild and it’s an amazing amount of meh for that awesome of a vehicle.

I own an F-150 with an ecoboost V6. The exhaust note does indeed sound like a turd. The OEM exhaust is muffled to point of hardly being audible when at temperature on my truck, which turns out to be a good thing. It is one of the only things I don’t like about the truck.
Ford also went to lengths to hush up all the twin-turbo noises. I would’ve been okay with more of those noises.

Most modern Turbo engine sounds like butt. Wait no, most modern engines sound like butt. There’s that’s better.
Just look at the Type-R. Over 300 ho turbo 4. But it sounds about as exciting as Ranch dressing

So we won’t be annoyed by the DRONE they barely hear in the cab but kills everyone next to them?
I love a good v8 growl and diesel ‘chunka’.. but these aftermarkets are going for interior sound not exterior.... Unfortunately thanks Ford.

Saw one pass by on the street. If I wasn’t looking, I would of thought it was a Honda Civic. Looks great, not so much for sound.

Not surprised. Freaking AMG has said that making a V6 sound good is harder than any other engine configuration.

It’s largely because turbos muffle the exhaust significantly. So unless it’s just straight piped a turbo 4 doesn’t really sound.

The sound really does ruin the truck for me. Needs more turbo noise, less doo doo butter.

Inside isn’t bad though. Rode in one through some rough stuff and the blow off valve noise on the inside is actually pretty crazy. Made it entertaining.

Yea my mufflerless 4G63 doesn’t sound great, and isn’t that loud. Because instead of the typical no cat, and 3 inch pipe I’m running the stock 2.25" exhaust and factory cat. Mainly because I don’t have 500 bucks to drop on a shiny new exhaust.
